Rhonda Smith Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 16, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Rhonda Smith of Huntington, Texas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Dottie Mae (Pelton); her brothers, Robbie Forrest and Andy Gilliland; and her parents-in-law, Ray and Shirley Smith.

She is survived by: her father William Anderson Gilliland, Sr. of Zavalla; her husband Delton Smith of Huntington; her children, Jenny Hawkins (Brent) of Livingston and Shawn Smith (Chrystal) of Corrigan; her grandchildren, Gracie Whisenant (Logan) of Livingston, Hannah Amidon (Jalen) of Fort Walton, Kalyn Smith of Corrigan, Halle Hawkins of Livingston and Dylan Smith of Corrigan; her great grandchildren, Bentley Whisenant of Livingston and Birdie Amidon of Fort Walton, Florida; her sister Terri Maberry (Mike) of Huntington; and her brother-in-law Keith Smith (Kim) of Huntington. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Watch Video Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Highway Missionary Baptist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 848, Huntington, Texas 75949.
