We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2025, at the age of 50, Julie Smith of Huntington, Texas, born in Lufkin, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Julie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Julie's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her father Richard Smith; and her brother Brian Smith. She is survived by: her children, Trevor Brooks, Jordan Brooks and Trey Brooks; her sister Jenn Smith; her mother Barbara Zapata; her stepparents, Pete Zapata and Jacquelyn Russell; and her nephew Dalton McCleskey.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Watch Video Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904).
