He was predeceased by: his parents, Nila Dale (Cornelius) and Robert Tillman Vaughan; and his brother Edward Eugene Vaughan. He is survived by: his wife Maye Vaughan of Huntington; his daughters, Christy (Barrett Lankford) and Patti (Brad Tiemann); his grandchildren, Colton (Ariel Lankford) of Florence, Connor (Maddie Lankford) of Houston, Cade Lankford (Allison) of Fort Worth, Cody Bowman (LoriAnne) of Arnold and Evan Horner (Ben Tiemann) of Nacogdoches; his great grandchildren, Wren Lankford, Ryker Lankford and Barrett John Lankford; and his brother Richard Vaughan of Kirbyville. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Watch Video Carroway Funeral Home Chapel (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904).
