He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Lester and Essie Matthews Hutson; and his brothers, Douglas, Rex of Glen, W. H. and James Hutson.

He is survived by: his wife Justine of Hull, Texas; his daughters, Justina Shipman (Kasey) of Hull, Ramona Huerta of Mauriceville and Vera Scholz (Jeffrey) of Houston; his grandsons, John, Thomas Lewis and Kaden Shipman; his great grandchild Logan Lewis; his siblings, Velda Knight of Hartburg, Betty Storms of Starks, Ann Light (Mickey) of Buna and Frank Hutson of Hartburg, Texas; and also Dallas Elmore. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
