He was predeceased by: his wife Gayla Hodges; his son Robert Hodges; and his siblings, Bobbie Thomas, Sammy Hodges, Barbara Erwin, Jerrye Cofield and Jimmy Baker.

He is survived by: his siblings, Judy Gonzales and James Hodges; and his daughters, Shannon Hodges and Cindy Moretti. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sterling-White Funeral Home & Cemetery (11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Sterling-White Cemetery (11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562).
