He is survived by: his daughters, Shelli Ellerbe (Steven Ellerbe), Beth McBroom (Tim McBroom) and Rebecca Forames (John Forames); his siblings, W. G. "Dub", Mitchell Lee, Ethylene Sikes, Lonnie Glenn and Robert; his wife Jimmie Ruth Chalfant Shivers; his grandchildren, Benjamin Ellerbe (Sarah), Christopher Ellerbe (Jessa), Gabie Forames-Su (Thomas), Natalie Forames-Ussery (Brian), Brenna McBroom and Tyler McBroom; his great grandchildren, Elijah Ellerbe, Austin Ellerbe and Matthew Ellerbe; his sisters-in-law, Leslie Shivers, Pat Shivers and Inez Shivers; his pet Kate; and also, Lonnie and Lelia Shivers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephew and cousins.
