He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lee; and his parents, Dee Staton and Evelyn Hailey. He is survived by: his children, Monte Dale Staton (Scott Trumpy) of Chicago, Illl and Dee Ann Kleypas; his granddaughters, Mary Madeline Kleypas and Molly Alexandria Kleypas of Lubbock, Texas; his brother Kenneth; his sister-in-law Kris Staton; his uncle Vernie; and his aunt Alice Staton.
