He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel Sheffield and Beulah Sheffield; his sister Myra Jo; his brother-in-law Bob Daniel; his sister Joyce; his brother-in-law Morgan Hampton; his brother Howard; his sister-in-law Bertha Sheffield; his brother E. H.; his sister-in-law Peggy Sheffield; and his parents-in-law, Howard and Linnie Tramel.
He is survived by: his wife Debby Tramel Sheffield; his daughter Kimberly; his son-in-law Guy Staton of San Angelo, Texas; his daughter Kami; his son-in-law Jay Hyer of Andrews, Texas; and his grandchildren, Danley Hyer Bailey, Sean Bailey, Hudson Hyer and Isaac Sheffield Staton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
