He was predeceased by: his parents, Sloan McCool and Norma Elizabeth Matteson; his former wives, Beverly Sue Adkins McCool, Pauline McCool (Bitty) and Lydia McCool; and his son Houston Terry McCool.
He is survived by: his sister Autumn Luana McCool Heisler; and his daughters, Holly Jean McCool Heimsath and Maria Bernadette McCool Splawn. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
