It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Bob Hawkins (Hughes Springs, Texas), who passed away on August 16, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton L. "Tena" and Jessie Russell Hawkins; and his friend Molly. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Hawkins of Hughes Springs; his son Cody Hawkins of Hughes Springs; his sisters, Mary John Russ of Mesquite and Patsy McClellan of Hughes Springs; and his uncle Wayne Russell of Hughes Springs. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

“A college buddy of mine and Mike's informed me today that Mike had passed away in August. So sad to hear this news. Mike and I worked together at a convenience store in Commerce while attending East Texas State University (Texas A&M Commerce). We had a lot of laughs and I especially remember his infectious laugh and his passion for everything he did. May he rest in peace with the angels until we can all reunite again.
