She is survived by: her husband James Earl Brooks, Sr.; her stepchildren, James Brooks, Jr., Colette Boyd and Andrea Brooks; her nieces and nephews, Dorothy Johnson, Ethelene Thomas, Rosie Johnson, Melba Allen, Betty Ben, Thomas Allen, Larry Allen and Robin Sheppard; and her goddaughter Jenice Lewis-Massey.
