He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell Rhyne and Faye Rhyne; and his siblings, Mary Evelyn Qualls and Kenneth Rhyne. He is survived by: his wife Melba Rhyne; his children, Sheila Lowery (Darrell) and Paul Rhyne (Janyce); his great grandchild Brynn Dickson; and his sisters, Treba Scott (Hal) and Elaine Spence (Randy).
The later years of Lloyd's life were difficult due to the progression of Alzheimer's Disease.
