He was predeceased by: his parents, Love Hatten and Tempie Lee Mims Hatten; his son Steven Lynn Hatten; his siblings, Johnny Hatten, Bernice Jones, Mary Lois Neal and Ester Marie Morrow; his grandsons, Montrell Hatten and Shelton Hicks; and his great grandchild Jaylen Hatten.
He is survived by: his wife Tommie Lee Hatten; and his children, Jerry Wayne Hatten (Odie), Virginia Linwood (Jimmy), Billy Hatten (Katie), Jeanette Hatten Montgomery (Melvin), Janette Linwood, Anthony Hatten (Susie) and Dennis Hatten. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
