It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George McFarland of Hughes Springs, Texas, born in Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on May 26, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Barbara McFarland; his children, Pam McFarland of Victoria, Rusty McFarland (Kristi) of Bryan, Donald McFarland (Dolly Soule) of Hughes Springs and Shelly Pohle (Robert) of San Antonio; and his grandchildren, Jordan McFarland (Whitney) of College Station, Rustin McFarland (Haley) of Dallas, Slade McFarland (Marisella) of Longview, Kiersten McFarland of Hughes Springs, Jared Dean of Victoria, Brittany Dean of Vanderbilt, Andrew Arredondo of Bryan, Savanna Arredondo of Victoria, Jacie Piland (Chuck), Jeremy Bogle (Kim), Mikala Pohle and Katherine Pohle. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
