He is survived by: his wife Irene Bencomo of Cruz; his children, Gumer Cruz (Socorro), Chano Cruz (Anna), Calixto Cruz (Sidume), Cesar Cruz (Nidia), Juan Cruz (Amber), Idaly Rios (Chavas) and Nubia Cruz (Rene) of Ibarra; and his siblings, Gregorio Cruz, Nicolas Cruz, Isabel Cruz, Chana Cruz and Luz Cruz. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
