He was predeceased by: his parents, John Walker and Winnie Smith; and his siblings, Warner Smith, Lonnie Smith, Mack Smith and Elma Wallace.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Bell Smith of Hughes Springs; his children, Kim Fowler (Buddy), Paula Nix (Dennis) and Chris; his daughter-in-law Treva Smith of Pine Bluff, AR; and his grandchildren, Ty Nix, Colby Nix, Billy Don Nix, Haley Nix, Chance Smith, Morgan Smith, Walker Smith, Casey Tucker, Tyler Roden, Sarah Dean and Sam Fowler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Honoring his requests, the family is asking that memorial contributions be made in honor of Don Louis to: Cypress Basin Hospice, 207 Morgan St., Mount Pleasant, Texas 75455.
