She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleve Fortune and Danie Daniel Fortune; her husband Bobby Vaughan; and her children, Phil Vaughan, Jason Vaughan and Miranda Riddle.

She is survived by: her children, Dana Gail Thomas (Price) and Kenneth Vaughan; her grandchildren, Timothy Thomas (Christina), Jeremiah Thomas (Robin), Rhonda Reed, Micheal Reed, Christopher Vaughan, Brittany Vaughan, MaKayla Carpenter, Dustin Leftwich and Chyanne Vaughan; and her brother Joe Fortune (Joann). She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
