He was predeceased by: his parents, Oneta Swindell and Jacob "Doc" Swindell; his wife Charlotte Swindell; and his brother Jerry Swindell. He is survived by: his children, Lee Swindell, Heather Qualls (Jerry), Robert Golladay (Tracy) and Rodney Turner (Julie). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
