He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Martin and Ethel Martin; and his siblings, Larry Martin, Ottalee Hix and Oleta Rutledge.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Martin; and his sons, Quanah Martin Jr., Michael Martin Sr. (Pam), David Martin Sr. and James Martin Sr. (Karen). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kingwood Funeral Home (22800 US-59, Kingwood, TX 77339). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM and at 4:30 PM. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 4:00 PM.
