He is survived by: his wife Kathryn; his children, Matthew of Abilene, TX and Jennie Leonard (Clint) of Rathdrum, ID; his stepson Justin Tubbs of Wichita Falls, TX; his grandchildren, Carson, Cadyn and Kinley Leonard of Rathdrum, ID; his sisters, Allene Cranston (Cookie) of Johnston, IA and Nancy Kastengren (Jim Larkin) of Dublin, OH; his niece Carrie Stephens (Brenden) of Urbandale, IA; his nephew Scott Kastengren (Olympia) of Norris, MT; his great-nieces, Rebecca, Gracie Stephens of Des Moines, IA and Lindsay Stephens of Ames, IA; his great-nephew Noah Kastengren of Phoenix, AZ; and his pet Toby. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
