He was predeceased by: his mother Esther Olga Heine; his wife Linda Ruth Lamb Heine; his grandparents, Otto, Mary Luedke (Brinkmann), William and Johanna Heine (Schoppe); and his father John R. Heine.
He is survived by: his siblings, William (Bill) and Elizabeth; his children, Lara B. Heine, Lyssa D. Heine of Austin and Stephen L. Heine of Austin; his grandchildren, Rachel Heine and Brandon Heine; his sister Patricia Ann Daniell (Barry); and his nieces and nephews, Debbie Dobson (Bryan), Billy Heine, Colleen Golla, Candace Wallner, Suzanne Camos, Chris Daniell, Seleta Carter and Randi Daniell.
