He is survived by: his father Vernal Smith; his wife Carolyn Smith of Hubbard; his brothers, Tom Smith (Michelle) of Farmington, Terry Smith (Maria) of Bluffton and Todd Smith (Elizabeth) of Kent Island, Maryland; his children, Timothy Morris Thatcher (Brandy) of Hubbard, Lisa Cheryl Thatcher of Corsicana, Felecia Machelle Thatcher of Corsicana, James Roy Thatcher of Hubbard and Courtney Nicole Gonzalez (Charles) of Hubbard; his grandchildren, Mallori-Wraye Michelle Thatcher, Thomas Wayne Thatcher, Casey Lee Anders, Krislynn Nicole Ellison, Katelynn Matilda Ellison, Lana Louise Gonzalez, CJ Gonzalez, Coleton Ray Thatcher, Brittany Nicole Thatcher, Brandon Lee Thatcher Johnson, Haylie Lynn Orr, Devin Michael Orr, Shelbie Gail Svacina, James Roy Thatcher Jr., Dylan Braxton Svacina, Brayden Leon Thatcher, Hope Renee Thatcher and Faith Marie Thatcher; and his great grandchildren, Violet Machelle Ellison, Messiah Montemayor, Tripp Wright and Averi Wright. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members and friends.
