With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lela Malone of Hubbard, Texas, who passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Lela departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Lela may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Lela leaves behind.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wade Funeral Chapel (201 NW 3rd St, Hubbard, TX 76648). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Hubbard (501 N Magnolia Ave, Hubbard, TX 76648). A burial was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (900 NW 2nd St, Hubbard, TX 76648).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the WMU or the VBS Feeding Program, both c/o of First Baptist Church of Hubbard, P.O. Box 176, Hubbard, Texas 76648.
