She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Verlin Massey and Evelyn Massey (Cluck); her husband James Shugart of Robinson; her sister Jocelyn Thrasher (Nanny Jo) of Robinson; her children, Daniel Shugart (Katherine) of Dripping Springs, Sherri Dittmar (Keith) of Buda and Dawn Holt (Nat) of Fort Worth; and her grandchildren, Preston Dittmar, Sierra Dittmar, Joshua Holt, Danni Shugart, Harrison Holt and Judson Holt. She was also cherished by other extended family members as well as a host of friends.
