He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Jean Pletcher Smith; his son Chad Smith of Brownwood; his children-in-law, Esther Smith of Brownwood and Thomas Troxtell of Howe; his daughter Andra Troxtell of Howe; his grandchildren, Mike Rizkal, Beth Rizkal of McKinney, Shaneigh Smith of Beaumont, Reagan, Riley and Joshua Durham; his mother-in-law Iva Nell Pletcher; his grandsons, Levi Smith, Matthew Smith, Gage Troxtell, Jacob Durham, Justin Cox and Chase Cox; and his friends, Dalton Harris, Quinton Harris and Mike Garner.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to the First Baptist Church in Howe in Bills' memory or a charity of the donor's choice.
