She was predeceased by: her parents, Dora Constance (Rother) and Morris Julius Kastner, Sr.; her husband Howard August Altenhof; her son Russell Altenhof; her siblings, Charlie Klemm (Becky), Lela Bostic (Willard) and Ivy Ann Cronin; her sister-in-law Lulu Mae Schwab (Vernon); her nieces, LaNell Brown, Betty Ruth Pohler, Juneva Marshall and Genevieve Moore; and her nephew Dudley Schwab.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanette Barber (Paul) and Shirley Germann (Stephen); her grandchildren, David Germann (Katy) and Jamie Altenhof; her great grandchildren, Cora, Rainor and Opal Germann; her brother Morris Kastner, Jr. (Vernell); her nieces and nephews, Debra Reese (Dan), Donna Stark (Randy), Linda Vickers (Joe Don), Janice Schwab Mann, Johnny Klemm (Mimi) and Robert Schwab; and her caregiver Leandra Washington.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Emanuel's Lutheran Church (206 N Travis St, Seguin, TX 78155). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at the Boecker Cemetery.
