He was predeceased by: his son Sterling Bernard Burton Jr.; his father Flynn Burton Jr.; and his sister Valerie Burton. He is survived by: his mother Lucille Burton; his sister Tiffany Burton; and his nephew Nicholas Burton-Purifoy. He is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
A memorial service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 10:30 AM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
