He was predeceased by: his mother Josephine Romine; his stepfather Hershel Romine; his siblings, Pat Moore and Pete Romine; and his stepson Antonio Castillo Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Enriqueta R. Callihan; his children, Gregg Callihan (Cindy) and Kristyn E. Callihan (William Rhea); his stepdaughters, Dora Gonzalez and Carol Aguirre (Louis); his sister Bonnie Schlabach (Carol House); and his great grandchild Jennifer.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Compean Funeral Home (2102 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77012). A vigil service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grand View Funeral Home & Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery (8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505).
