He was predeceased by: his father David Lee Calhoun; his grandparents, Dave Crockett Calhoun, Sherman Lee Nixon, Lucy V. Calhoun and Roberta L. Nixon; his brother Patrick L. Nixon Calhounl; and his aunts and uncles, Alice Mae Calhoun (Wilson), Sara Caldwell, Jerome Coleman, Eddie Lee Calhoun, John Lee Calhoun, Leonard Morris Calhoun, Sammie Lee Calhoun, McClelland Calhoun and Rufus Calhoun.

He is survived by: his mother Ophelia Jean Nixon (Calhoun); his siblings, Willis U. L. Page III and Ebony Chanta Page; his aunts and uncles, Stella Warren, Lucy Edwards, Vassie Thomas of Palestine, TX, Lynwood Cook (Geri Cook) of Palestine, TX, Charles Ray Calhoun of Nacogdoches, TX, Jesse Charles Calhoun of Dallas, TX, Anthony Charles Calhoun and Leroy "Junebug" Cook; his brothers, Milam Smith and Marlon McWashington; and his friend Caroline McNeal. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the South Union Missionary Baptist Church (807 S Dorrance St, Palestine, TX 75801). A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Memorial Cemetery.
