Mauree Hickerson Hughes Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mauree Hickerson Hughes of Houston, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 26, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles F. Hickerson of Winchester, TN and Elizabeth H. Pugh of Baton Rouge, LA.; her brother Charles F. Hickerson Jr.; and her husband James Leo (Jim). She is survived by: her children, Chris Hughes (Julee), Elizabeth Jordan, Anne Glover (David) and Catherine Byrd (Johnny); and her grandchildren, Samantha Hughes Martinek, Zachry Hughes, Kelsey Hughes Maner, Rebecca Hughes Courtney, Melissa Jordan Farber, Jennifer Jordan, Amy Jordan, Thomas Glover, Grace Glover Rollinger, Charlie Byrd, Matt Byrd and Ryan Byrd.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church (625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079). A rosary will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 1:15 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Jude Hall (625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079).
