With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Nelson in Houston, Texas, born in Muncie, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her former spouse Claude William "Bill" Nelson; her husband Robert "Bob" Nelson; her parents, John F. Brown and Mary Emma; and her stepfather Charles O. Troxell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Claudia Bonnell (Clayton), Carolyn Koontz (Jim) and Cathy Rawlings (Michael); her grandchildren, Nicolas Koontz (Katie), Austin Koontz (Emily Lawrence), Nathaniel Rawlings and Emma Durham (Jesse); her great grandchildren, Henry Koontz and Chella Jo Durham; her siblings, Paul Troxell, Joyce Swing and John R. Brown; her nieces, Debbie Riggs and Diana June; and her cousins, Desnee Hall and Dan Dick.
