As Mary Jane departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mary Jane. Though Mary Jane may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Gilmer Harmon II and Mary Jane Murphey Harmon; and her brothers, Thomas Walker Newcom Harmon and Phelps John Murphey Harmon. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Weaver (Mike Marek) and William Weaver (Laura); and her brothers, Francis Gilmer Harmon III (Melinda) and William Thomas Harmon (Terry). She is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and countless friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Philip Presbyterian Church (4807 San Felipe St, Houston, TX 77056).
Mary Jane "Suzie" Harmon, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, died unexpectedly on January 11, 2025, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 77, following a five-year battle with Alzheimer's disease.
