It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria M. Barboza (Houston, Texas), who passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Miguel and Maria Trinidad Barboza; and her siblings, Mary Cano, Gloria Rodriguez, Emmet Barboza, Joe Angel, Jesus and Guadalupe Barboza.
She is survived by: her siblings, John Barboza, Francisco Barboza, Paul Barboza, Mamie Garcia, Aurora Barboza and Rosalinda B. Idlebird; and her niece C. J. Alves. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Compean Funeral Home (2102 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77012). A rosary was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (2405 Navigation Blvd, Houston, TX 77003). A burial was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery (12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077).
