She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ola West and James Harrell West; her spouse Lesly Dawson Attaway; her daughter Joyce Attaway Davidson (Linda) of Houston; and her siblings, Tilden Harrell West of Lake Jackson and Jannette.

She is survived by: her sons, Douglas Attaway (Ann) and Dan Attaway (Karen); her son-in-law John Young Davidson; her grandchildren, Michael Attaway, Kimberley Attaway McElroy (Dan), Christopher Attaway, Timothy Attaway, Scott Attaway, Christy Attaway, Sarah Davidson, Kelly Davidson and John Alden Davidson; and her great grandchild Dawson Wayne McElroy. She is also survived by her husband, four children, and nine grandchildren.
