Mamie E. Piper Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mamie E. Piper of Houston, Texas, who passed away on December 25, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mamie Turner Williams and A. D. Williams; her son John Henry Piper Jr. (Janet); and her great grandchild Trenton. She is survived by: her husband John Henry Piper Sr.; her daughters, Renita Oliver-Piper, Dr. Linda Piper-Price (Justin) and Etta Piper Jamison Olaniran (Olawale); her stepson Elwood Lee Arthur Piper; her sister Mary Alice Gordon of Wharton, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Sinnetti Piper, Phlavaous Piper, John Piper III (Camille), Marcus Piper (Talisha), Ramses Piper (Tiffany), Dr. Doshie Piper, Alicia Piper, C. W. Oliver, Warren "Stuart" Price (Tatiana), Brandon Jamison and Alexander Jamison (Kenya Wilson).
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Star Light Baptist Church (9202 Willow St, Houston, TX 77088). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Paradise Funeral Home (10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Starlight Missionary Baptist Church Scholarship Fund.
