With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lydia Cantu (Houston, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 3, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ruben Cantu; her son Ruben Cantu; and her grandson Brandon Alexander Cantu. She is survived by: her children, Hernan Cantu (Rosa), Aurora Cantu, Gabriela Cantu (Juan Eduardo Reyes), Myriam Cantu (Luis Eduardo Leal) and Edna Cantu (Juan Manuel Donenas); her siblings, Facundo Salazar and Argentina Gil; her grandchildren, Yamilex, Bryan, Eduardo, Kevin, Chelsea, Edgar, Jennifer and Kailey; and her great grandchildren, Ruben, Alejandro and Ashley.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Compean Funeral Home (2102 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77012). A Mass was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location.
