He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sara Jane Brown-Barnes and Whitney Barnes Jr. Luther.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 9:45 AM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
