With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lupe Joe Sertuche Jr. of Houston, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Sr. Sertuche and Josephine Bocanegra Sertuche; his wife Mary Alice; his siblings, Amelia Hernandez, Mary Alice Ochoa and Jacinto Sertuche; and his nephew Ernest Sertuche.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia "Cyndee" Sertuche of Houston, Richard Hernandez of Victoria, Simon Hernandez of Victoria and Ruben Hernandez of Thomaston; his sister Paula Janie Turner of Victoria; and his grandchildren, Justin Roel Sertuche, Jacob Joel Sertuche, Josephine Dominique Sertuche, Amanda Garza, Krystal Hernandez-Diaz, Simon Hernandez Jr., Ruben Hernandez Jr., Isaiah Hernandez, Andrea Hernandez, Samantha Fox, Angela Del Aguila, Sonya Pena and Michael Pena. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freund Funeral Home (213 N Gonzales St, Cuero, TX 77954). A rosary was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (705 W Broadway St, Cuero, TX 77954).
Memorial Contributions may be made to Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle.
