She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hatcher and Drucilla Hatcher; her husband Ronald Branton; her siblings, Clifford Hatcher, Clifton Hatcher and Genevieve Swafford; and her son-in-law Wayne Johnson.

She is survived by: her daughter Sherry Johnson; her sisters, Marie Acosta and Shirley Sherrod; and her grandchildren, Morgan Johnson, Chelsea Johnson and Samantha Borunda. She is also survived by relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (1101 Antoine Dr, Houston, TX 77055). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mark Lutheran Church (1515 Hillendahl Blvd, Houston, TX 77055).
