It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Lisa Skaggs of Houston, Texas, who passed away at the age of 56, on January 15, 2025. She was predeceased by: her father Harold Lewis. She is survived by: her mother Glenda Haywood; her daughter Alyssa Skaggs; her husband David Skaggs; her son David Jr. (DJ); and her siblings, Kersha Fortune, Stacey-Ann Foster, Sandra Lewis, Kenrick Lewis, Tony Lewis, Lyndell Lewis, June Lewis, Michael Lewis, Beverly Lewis, Penny Lewis and Byron Lewis. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and countless friends.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Episcopal High School Chapel (4650 Bissonnet St, Bellaire, TX 77401).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center https://gifts.mdanderson.org. in Lisa's honor or to the Ivy Haywood Education initiative (IHEI-Uganda) https://www.iheiuganda.org. – a program started in honor of Lisa's grandmother to sponsor children's education in Uganda.
