She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John Fontenot; her children, Melissa Fontenot Smith (Steven), Jeff Fontenot (Brandy) and Dr. Brian Fontenot; her child-in-law Jayme; her grandchildren, Lason Smith, Syann Smith, Jillian Fontenot, Emily Fontenot and Dakota Smith; her parents, Percy Chiasson and Alzina Chiasson; and her siblings, Louis "Pete" Chiasson, Faye Chiasson Sassine and Charlotte Sue Chiasson Bassett.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Melancon Levingston Funeral Home (1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX 77627).
