He is survived by: his wife Heidi Zachmann-Garza; his parents, Pedro Velez and Martha Velez; his daughters, Cheyenne and Elizana; and his siblings, Kristina "Nana", James "Jody" and Pedro "Papi". He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
