She is survived by: her husband Miguel Ruiz Sr.; her children, Isidora Pena, Maria Modesta Zavala (Juan), Guadalupe Ruiz, Apolonio Ruiz, Abel Ruiz (Maria Luisa) and Orlando Ruiz Sr.; her wife Rosalba; her sibling Ramona Martinez Luis of Magdalena Luis; and also, Maria Luisa (Lorenzo), Jose Angel Ruiz, Miguel Ruiz (Claudia) and Daniel Ruiz (Marisela). She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
