He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Ellis and Edna Ellis. He is survived by: his children, Sonia Gail Ellis Taylor (Mike) and Selvyn John Ellis (Natarsha); his grandchildren, Eryka, Courtney, Sydney, Angel, Joseph, Shane, Shannon, Selvyn Jr., Ava and Nova; his brother Nathaniel; and his family Lord. He is also survived by son-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, god-daughters and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:55 AM at the South Union Church of Christ (7427 Ardmore St, Houston, TX 77054). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Houston Memorial Gardens (2426 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581).
