She was predeceased by: her husband William Joseph Bauer; her son Robert Charles Bauer; her parents, Charles Elbert Carter and Verra Marie Gunn Carter; her siblings, William Carter, John Carter, Charlene Tagliabue (Emil) and Carolyn Boykin (Fred); her sisters-in-law, Peggy Carter and Joan Coffey (Jesse); and her niece Michele Tagliabue.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Barrett (Michael) and Cathy Horecka (Michael); her daughter-in-law Paula Bauer; her grandchildren, Katie Bares (Jared), Kevin Horecka (Nipuni), Nikki Bullock (Kyle), Kacey Buckallew (Nik), Shellie Hurd (David) and Joni Bauer; her great grandchildren, Logan Bares, Zachary Bares, Maria Bares, Robyn Bullock, Seth Bullock, David Hurd and Heidi Hurd; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Carter and Jane Carter.
