We are sad to announce that on October 31, 2024, at the age of 97, Jo Therese Phalen in Houston, Texas, born in Beaumont, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, T. A. Brocato and Lena Brocato (Fertitta); her husband Thomas Phalen of Valentine's Day; her siblings, Mary Claire "Bick" Petkovsek (Luke), Concetta "Connie" McGettigan (Patrick) and Anthony "Bubby" Brocato (Myrna); her siblings-in-law, Lucy Phalen, Eileen McBride (Louis) and Jim Phalen (Lois); her nephews, Norbert Phalen and Brian McBride; and her niece Meghan Patrizi.
She is survived by: her brother-in-law Bill Phalen; her nieces and nephews, Thomas Phalen, Jr. (Sue), Margaret Pruett and Patricia Pringle (Patrick); and her grandchildren, Daniel Phalen (Kim), Jennifer Hitch (Evan), Lauren Manekshaw (Cyrus), Anne Phalen (Rob Appel) and Stephen Pruett.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waltrip Funeral Directors (1415 Campbell Rd, Houston, TX 77055). A vigil service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church (11720 Joan of Arc Dr, Houston, TX 77024). A committal service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Memorial Oaks Cemetery (13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079).
