He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Simonton Sr. and Minnie Nelson Simonton; his daughter Vera Simonton; his siblings, Luther Simonton, Eddie Simonton Jr. and Stella Bowie; and also Minnie Simonton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathryn Gray, Babette Simonton and Timiko Simonton; his siblings, Linda Jackson and Lynn T. Nelson; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Simonton and Carol Simonton. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:55 AM at the Greater Pure Light Church (12330 Vickery Dr, Houston, TX 77039). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at the Brookside Memorial Park (13401 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039).
