He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Cleveland Varnell and Dorothy Irene Varnell (Steele); his brother-in-law Ronald E. Smith; his niece Aundi Kuykendall; and his lifelong love Dorothy "Dotti" Varnell (Shown).
He is survived by: his siblings, Deloris Smith of Lufkin and Eddie; his sister-in-law Toni Varnell of Deer Park, TX; his nephew Greg Kuykendall of Lufkin; and his nieces, Dotti Varnell of Gonzalez, TX, Rhonda (Thomas Straughan) of Pollok, Suzanne Smith of Lufkin, Stephanie (Darren Foreman) of Lufkin, Kim (Jacob Guerra) of Deer Park, TX and Leslie Pierce of Pasadena, TX.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen's United Methodist Church (2003 W 43rd St, Houston, TX 77018).
