He is survived by: his wife Fran Avera (Fran); his son Eric Avera; his daughter-in-law Zeba Rizvi Avera; his daughter Kathleen Avera Trail; his son-in-law Tom Trail; and his granddaughters, Emma and Ollie Trail.
