James Edward Dowies Sr. Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Tyra Dowies and Clotile Dowies; his sister Gwendolyn Dowies Bolton; his grandson Daniel Austin Dowies; his daughter Cynthia Lou Dowies; and his wife Thelma Lou Avant Dowies.

He is survived by: his children, James Edward Dowies, Jr. (Choe Mi Hyun) and Pam Dowies Owens (Randall Carroll Owens); his grandchildren, David James Dowies (Mandy Lo Dowies), Samuel Carroll Owens (Sarah Virginia Brown), Joseph Randall Owens (Madelyn Louise Smith), James Edward Dowies, III and Rachel Margaret Owens Poppe (Kevin Worden Poppe); and his great grandchildren, Sienna Lo Dowies and Emmy Lou Dowies. He is also survived by three children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Jim took tender care of Thelma in her years of decline due to Alzheimer's until her passing on December 31, 2016.
